I'm Lindsey Daugherty, and I’m running to represent you in Senate District 19!
When I was first elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 2020, I promised to dedicate my efforts towards advocating for the underserved and striving for a more inclusive, just Colorado. As your State Representative, I have had the honor of fighting for educational equity, justice reform, and healthcare accessibility, among many other critical issues. Together, we have accomplished much, from establishing universal pre-school to passing significant legislation on gun violence prevention and reproductive freedom.
Growing up in Colorado, I've always felt a deep love and respect for our state and its people. As an attorney, working as a Guardian ad Litem, I've seen first-hand the challenges our most vulnerable youth face every day. It's these experiences that motivate me, pushing me to work harder to enhance opportunities for every young person in our state.
Throughout my time serving as your State Representative, I’ve worked tirelessly to protect the rights and wellbeing of our fellow Coloradans. I’ve seen firsthand how meaningful change can be achieved when we come together to tackle the issues that matter most to us.
In my three years in office, I've been proud to work alongside my colleagues to make significant progress in areas like public education, reproductive freedom, justice reform, and gun violence prevention. As Chair of the House Health & Human Services Committee, I've helped shape and advance transformative healthcare policies, always with the aim of protecting the wellbeing of our residents.
But there is still so much work to do. As an attorney, I’ve dedicated my career to advocating for the rights of underprivileged and at-risk youth. This work has solidified my commitment to fighting for a society where everyone, no matter their background, has an equal opportunity to succeed.
